The brief

Materials teams are asked to replace restricted, costly, or unavailable materials while the useful evidence remains scattered across papers, patents, and datasheets.

The method

Ypotheto coordinates agents to generate, challenge, rank, and evolve hypotheses against scientific evidence and commercial constraints.

The evidence

Every surviving claim keeps its source trail, so a shortlist can move into review without losing the reasoning that produced it.

A useful research system begins with the decision a person needs to make: the target properties, the constraints, and the evidence that would change the answer.

Every answer should carry its sources.

Confidence is less valuable than traceability. A recommendation should carry the sources, challenges, and assumptions that allowed it to survive.

Good systems make disagreement useful.

Independent lines of reasoning should collide before a decision is made. Adversarial review is part of the product, not a final quality check.

Built to hold
the long view.

Far North Labs creates and operates its own products, rather than building them for clients.

The name is a nod to the Far North — a place associated with distance, perspective, resourcefulness, and finding your own way.

The map in the hero is real, and so is the route: a least-cost path computed from elevation data. It is the shape of problem we work on — a search under constraints, with the reasoning left visible.
